A 7-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from the farmhouse, this secluded cottage is an ideal retreat for couples seeking privacy. With its own private pool and expansive garden, it offers the ultimate in seclusion. The most private accommodation on our farm, and the only one with its own kitchen, Rockwood Cottage is perfect for enjoying romantic moments in the outdoor rain shower, the garden bathtub, or by the cozy log fire, all surrounded by fynbos and uninterrupted views of the Franschhoek Valley and mountains.

Possibly the cosiest room in the house, the Garden Room is a serene haven on the ground floor with direct access to the lush garden. Though it’s our entry-level option, it’s one of our favourites, thanks to its welcoming and calming atmosphere and perfect layout.

Decorated with beautiful old oil paintings from Marc’s and James’ families, this charming room invites you to leave the windows open, breathe in the fresh fynbos air, and let the garden views soothe your soul.

This twin room is located in the pool barn with direct access to the garden and pool area, this room is all about light, colour, and whimsy. Double-height ceilings and vibrant orange walls create a cheerful, airy space.

Featuring twin beds, a private entrance, a spacious ensuite bathroom, and a veranda with sun loungers and outdoor seating, it’s perfect for friends or family who want to share a room but sleep in separate beds. There are also two desks making it ideal for digital nomads.

Vibrant and charming, this cosy upstairs room is sure to put a smile on your face. Perhaps it’s the playful rainbow-striped rug, the quirky owl lamps, the beautiful garden views, or the whimsical paintings that add a dash of humour to the walls. And then there’s the wisteria-draped balcony, where you can relax as the orchard and vegetable garden stretch out before you, with the majestic Bakenkop mountain standing guard in the distance—a true feast for the senses.

This spacious room has views in three direction and a unique wraparound bathroom with fantastic views of the valley, mountains and gardens.

It is ideally suited to couples looking for a romantic get away but also to travellers who occasionally need to do a little work as it has a large table with plenty of space for laptops, cappuccinos and newspapers! The room is in upstairs in the main house and has the added bonus of having access to our wonderful library!

Our best-selling suite, detached from the main house, is truly one of a kind. Stylish, intensely comfortable, and perfect for a romantic getaway, it features a wood-burning fireplace, a bay window with a daybed for lounging, and a sun-drenched deck with breathtaking views of the Franschhoek valley, surrounding mountains, and pool.

The exposed brickwork and eclectic design add unique charm as does the two-person shower. With direct access to the 25-meter pool, it’s no wonder guests call it the most romantic spot in Franschhoek.
